Refund Policy

1. Milestone-Based Protection

Because custom software development involves dedicated engineering time and tailored deliverables, SmallSolution operates on a transparent Milestone-Based Billing Structure. This model is specifically designed to eliminate financial risk for both the founder and our engineering team.

2. Phase Zero / Discovery Refund Terms

For Phase Zero engagements (Requirements gathering, architecture roadmap, and clickable wireframes):

• Prior to Project Kickoff: If you cancel before the initial discovery workshop or before any work commences, you will receive a 100% full refund.
• During Phase Zero: If you are unsatisfied after the first discovery session and choose not to proceed to wireframing, you are eligible for a prorated 50% refund.
• Following Deliverable Sign-Off: Once the final clickable prototype and Product Requirements Document (PRD) are approved and delivered, fees for Phase Zero are non-refundable as all agreed intellectual property has been transferred.

3. MVP Development Milestones

Full software builds are broken down into discrete phases (e.g., Sprint 1: Auth & Database, Sprint 2: Core Loop, Sprint 3: UI & Integrations, Sprint 4: Deployment & QA):

• Payments are released milestone-by-milestone upon your review and demo acceptance.
• If you decide to pause or terminate an engagement, you only pay for the milestones completed to date. Any prepaid funds for future unstarted milestones are refunded in full within 7 business days.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund under your agreement, simply email your project lead or hello@smallsolution.info with your project reference and rationale. We resolve all inquiries cordially and professionally.
